Apply for Support
Vallarta Sailing Foundation provides financial support to advance sailing and maritime development in Mexico. Since 2015, the Foundation has provided funding through more than 100 grants supporting sailors, sailing programs and competitive opportunities.
We welcome requests from sailors and sailing programs whose needs align with the Foundation’s charitable mission.
What We Support
Vallarta Sailing Foundation may provide support for:
- Youth and junior sailing — opportunities that help young sailors participate, train and develop their skills.
- Competition expenses — support for sailors participating in regional, national and international sailing competitions.
- Travel related to competition — expenses that help sailors reach qualifying events, championships and other significant competitive opportunities.
- Training equipment — equipment and resources used to develop sailors and improve access to training.
- Junior sailing equipment and maintenance — equipment, maintenance and related needs that support youth sailing programs.
- Regattas and sailing development programs — projects and events that expand participation in sailing and strengthen the sport in Mexico.
Who Can Request Support?
Requests may be considered from individual sailors, youth and junior sailors, sailing programs, and organizations carrying out activities consistent with the Foundation’s mission.
Support is based on charitable purpose, available funding and the circumstances of each request. Submitting a request does not guarantee funding.
What to Include in Your Request
To help the Foundation evaluate your request, please provide:
- Your name and contact information
- The sailor, team, program or organization requesting support
- A brief description of the activity, event or need
- How the request supports sailing or sailor development in Mexico
- The amount of funding requested
- A basic description or budget showing how the funds would be used
- Relevant dates or deadlines
- Any other information that helps explain the need and expected impact
How to Apply
You can submit your grant request online.
Please submit requests as early as practical, particularly when funding is needed for a competition, travel deadline or scheduled program. The Foundation may contact applicants for additional information before making a decision.
